Be part of the first Australian Social Innovation Camp

Social Innovation refers to new strategies, concepts, ideas and organisations that meet social needs of all kinds. ASIX created the Social Innovation Camp as an opportunity to find better ways of functioning as a society, and to tackle some of the major challenges we face in the areas of environment, sustainability, or social justice. The SI Camp is a weekend of passion and commitment, clever thinking and a bit of technology to work on new ways to make a difference on the social issues, big and small, that we face as a community and as a country. The camp offers participants a rare opportunity to collaborate with some of the most accomplished, exciting and driven people with a deep set of skills and experience across a range of industries. The internet and mobile technology provide a connectedness like we have never seen before, and is an essential tool in the growth and development of social innovation in Australia and abroad. Our first Australian Social Innovation Camp, held March 2010 in Sydney, was a great success. The ideas presented tackled diverse themes and issues in the areas of education, health and social justice.
