About ASIX
About ASIX
Australian Social Innovation Exchange (ASIX) is a non-profit company formed to find better ways of tackling social problems, and responding to growing community needs and opportunities.
ASIX is a community of Australians working to design and implement new solutions to some of the social and environmental challenges and opportunities facing our world. This website is a primary means through which those who are active participants in this community can connect and seek help from one another within this community of practice.
ASIX is a self-help community. The first step, for those individuals or organisations wanting to become involved, is to create a profile. Then you can list projects, ask questions of the community, seek people with skills or resources, list events, offer or find out about learning opportunities.
We plan to ask Change-makers to tell us about their experiences as part of the ASIX community, as a means to refine what we offer, and report on what is being achieved.
To support and bring attention to the work of these Change-makers, ASIX will:
- Run events and forums, usually in partnership with other groups, aimed at promoting social innovation and enable learning and collaboration;
- Develop and test new approaches and methods for social innovation;
- Connect people and organisations working and investing in social innovation, and support a growing community of practice in Australia and globally.
Our Vision
To enable Australia’s Change-makers to accelerate pioneering, early-stage ideas into positive social change.
Our Mission
To build networks to connect Australia’s social Change-makers with the right people, tools, investments and knowledge.
Our Values
We endeavour to develop programs and projects that are empowering and pioneering, while making the process of connecting people more systematic, open and collaborative and, most crucially, enabling learning and sharing about what works and why.
